The Richard III Society yesterday asked for recommendations for books to give this Christmas. It was very gratifying that several people recommended The Order of the White Boar for other readers. Thank you so much for that.
While not a Christmas book as such, there is plenty of chilly, snowy weather in it, as well as scenes from the Yuletide celebrations at King Edward IV’s court. Perfect for reading as the nights draw in, as you’re wrapped up against the winter’s chill, perhaps sipping on mulled ale or cider beside a roaring fire…
And the sequel, The King’s Man, also touches on the Christmases of Richard’s time. Maybe I’ll post a little taster of these over the coming days….
