‘The Order of the White Boar’ wins Chill with a Book Readers’ Award!

2019 has really started with a bang! 🍾🎉
I’m thrilled to announce that The Order of the White Boar has been awarded a Chill with a Book Readers’ Award! 🥂

As you may know, Chill Awards are designed to promote the best from independent authors and are the result of a rigorous process in which the book is judged by a collective of readers against the following criteria:
Were the characters strong and engaging?
Was the book well written?
Did the story / plot have you turning the page to find out what happened next?
Was the ending satisfying?
Would you recommend to someone who reads this kind of story?
What a delight to know that The Order passed these tests!😀
And one of the readers has commented: ‘An exciting story of young people in the household of the Duke of Gloucester, the future Richard III. It was easy to get caught up in the adventures of Matthew and the fellow members of the ’Order’. It was refreshing to see that the story overturned the tired stereotypes about Richard III. I enjoyed it as an adult reader and will recommend it to young and old alike. As a very picky historian, it was a pleasure not to be taken out of the story by jarring anachronisms or historical inaccuracies.’
Thank you so much to Pauline Barclay and her team 😁 A bottle of bubbly may well be opened this evening… 🥂🍾
